About Fife

Fife is a region of remarkable variety, all contained within 1,325 square kilometres on the east coast of Scotland. The ‘Kingdom of Fife’ is famous for its colourful fishing villages, glorious beaches and coastline, and St Andrews, the home of golf.

Castles, palaces, museums and galleries are found throughout the region. Some hold royal connections, like the abbey in Dunfermline, others look back at the region’s industries, like the Scottish Fisheries Museum, and some remember Fife’s pioneers, like Andrew Carnegie and Adam Smith.

Outlander fans will find filming locations across Fife, including Aberdour Castle and Culross.
