The Open, back at the home of golf
The 155th Open comes to St Andrews in July 2027, the 31st time the Championship has been played on the Old Course. The first Open here was in 1873, and the last, the 150th Open in 2022, drew record crowds as Cameron Smith lifted the Claret Jug.
Open week fills the town and the surrounding area. Staying in a Fife home rather than a hotel gives your group space to spread out, cook your own breakfast before an early start and relax after a long day on the course.
- Whole homes, so the group stays together
- Full kitchen, washing machine and Wi-Fi
- Parking at most homes
- The full price for your dates shown before you book, with no booking-site fees

Book early for Open week
Some of our homes are already booked for part of Open week, so availability is limited. Try a few different dates, or a shorter stay around the days you most want to see. You’ll get the full price straight away.

Questions about Open week
Do I need a ticket to go to St Andrews during The Open?
You need a ticket to enter the course. The town itself is open to everyone, and many visitors enjoy the atmosphere without one.
Can I book just a few nights?
Yes. Several homes are already booked for part of the week, so a shorter stay is often the best way to find something. Search with the nights you need, or open a home to see which dates are still free on its calendar.
We’re a large group. Can you help?
Yes. Tell us how many are coming and we’ll suggest homes close to each other. Get in touch.
Are you working on The Open’s build or operations?
Crews often arrive weeks before the Championship. For stays of more than 28 nights, see our long stays for contractors.
